Carol Kovach, a veteran Press Club of Cleveland member and officer, has been West Group Editor of the suburban Cleveland Sun Newspapers since August 2005.

Carol joined Sun in 1974 as a reporter and photographer at the Berea office. She was assistant editor at the West office until 1988, when she was named editor of the Metro Group.

Carol has received state and national awards for headlines, writing, page layout and opinion pages.

She also received the Best Defense of the First Amendment award from the Society of Professional Journalists.
