CONTESTANTS

This year, entries to the 2024 All Ohio Excellence in Journalism will be submitted using BetterBNC Media Awards Platform.

Click here to download information for preparing and submitting entries. If you have questions, please contact Elizabeth McIntyre at elizabethmcintyre02@gmail.com.

IMPORTANT: BetterBNC is optimized for Google Chrome browser; and Firefox for PC and Macintosh/Apple. Please have a recent version downloaded and installed for the best contest experience.

Journalism award programs across the country ask the Press Club of Cleveland to help judge their entries. It's interesting and rewarding work. It pays nothing, but it's part of the reciprocal arrangement by which our own Excellence in Journalism program is adjudicated.

We're in need right now for people with at least 10 years of journalism experience - online, broadcast or print - to fill out our panel of judges. You don't need to be currently working in the field. If interested, please send a note to pressclubcle@gmail.com for more information.

SEEKING VOLUNTEERS TO HELP BUILD LOCAL CENSUS OF JOURNALISTS

The Press Club of Cleveland is seeking volunteers for a new task force that will help create a census of Northeastern Ohio media.

Creating a directory of communicators and their organizations is one of several activities stemming from the club’s new strategic vision to create better ties within the communications community. The census will be a resource for communicators, media research, students, communications educators and others.

The task force will meet virtually over coming months to create and implement a plan for building this important online resource. Especially needed are those with technical skills or experience with platforms to create a dynamic directory that can be used and updated on an ongoing basis. Contact Michael Bennett (mebennett@outlook.com, 216-408-3874) or Bob Rosenbaum (bob.r@themarketfamr.com, 216-401-9342) if interested.
