Ed Byers was taken by surprise when Medical Mutual donated $1,000 to The Press Club of Cleveland's scholarship at Kent State University, in honor of his induction into the Journalism Hall of Fame.

Byers, a veteran of more than 30 years in radio and TV in Northeast Ohio, also holds the distinction of the longest-serving president of The Press Club of Cleveland in the organization's history.
