July 27-29 Stay up-to-date on the hottest multimedia trends and tools with the latest online, summer education sessions.
Once again, The Press Club of Cleveland is partnering with The Radio Television Digital News Foundation to offer a series of online classes for both professional teachers and professional broadcasters. The “Getting into Multimedia” courses are each about 10 hours of work, including class time and independent work. While the class itself runs three days, students will have ten days to complete their work assignments. For teachers, Continuing Education Credits (CEUs) are RTDNF’s High School Broadcast Journalism Project already has partnered with the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., on a series of online multimedia webinars and courses. Members of the Press Club of Cleveland are invited to join in the summer sessions scheduled to begin mid-July.
The fee for each course is $50. Press Club of Cleveland members can receive a discounted registration of $30. Getting into Multimedia 102 Aaron Manfull, Award-winning journalism adviser and chairman of the JEA Digital Media Committee This is a class for those who have taken Getting Into Multimedia 101 – or those who have already started a WordPress website. This class will help you expand your Web presence and will also help you structure and manage your converged newsroom. This online course will cover classroom items such as developing a beat system and organizing the staff. It will also work to show you ways to promote your Web site using a wide range of tools – from social networks to e-newsletters.
